Beware when you compare!

Make sure you’re comparing apples to apples. Remember to check the item allowance amounts from competing quotes. A low allowance will reduce the overall cost, but not if you have to borrow to buy the quality you want.
In the long term, the least expensive may be the most costly. Consider this: the composite jamb exterior doors we use are about $100 more per door than a wood jamb door, but in the long run they’re well worth it — no painting, no rotting.

The Case for Can-Tech is Air-Tight

Can-Tech takes great care in air-sealing our homes. Combined with our standard insulation package, which includes basement wall insulation (R20) and under slab insulation (R10), and the upgraded exterior wall insulation (R28), this will provide you with a superior performing home.

We offer an optional air tightness blower door test to confirm the tightness of each new home. The Province of New Brunswick also offers grants up to $3,000.00 depending on the level of energy efficiency your new home is constructed to, further information about these grants can be obtained from their website.

How We Work With You

We will try to guide you through the building process so you can make informed decisions along the way.
We will take the time to explain why and how things are done and to explain your options.
Included in our estimates are cash allowances for good quality items, not the cheapest available. Should you spend less or more, the difference will be credited or debited to your account.
Your estimate will reflect construction costs using today's materials. Should your start date be more than 21 days away, we would suggest a re-price on materials.
Start to finish on an average home will be about 18 weeks. (Weather may cause some delays.)
Special order windows, trusses and doors take about 6 weeks, so we ask that you please inform us promptly.
